While many confused and desperate citizens are either mindlessly cheering our Warmonger-in-Chief as he goose-steps us into World War III, or screaming for his impeachment, then rooting for their favorite presidential candidate to replace him, our country is being looted by the rich and powerful, America is rapidly becoming a military state, endless war is destroying any prospects of a better future for our children, and most frighteningly of all, our democracy is being taken apart piece-by-piece. Which means we need to do something before it’s too late.
Stopping the destruction of our democracy is not just about putting the right person in the White House.
Yes, the president is powerful. Yes, for many Trump was an embarrassment, a buffoon, a temperamental idiot, a narcissist and a sociopath. But increasingly, many good decent folks who were hoping for better, are realizing that Joe Biden isn’t much better. The truth is, in both cases, the focus of our disappointment and outrage is misplaced. The US is not the USSR. Neither Donald Trump or Joe Biden are Joseph Stalin.
Let’s remember three very important, fundamental facts:
FACT #1 — Congress can impeach the president.
FACT #2 — But the president can’t impeach Congress.
FACT #3 — Congress makes the laws, the President only enforces them.
Which means that the real power in this country exists in Congress, and the only way to get anything worthwhile done is to elect candidates to the House and Senate who are truly on the side of the people.
Congress right now is shredding everything which has taken decades to put together to improve the general welfare of common citizens. It is passing legislation which transfers even more wealth into the hands of the already incomprehensibly wealthy. It is facilitating the disenfranchisement of voters, the wholesale destruction of our already frayed fabric of democracy. It is giving more power and control to corporations, so they can pursue their predatory, profit-driven agendas with total unfettered abandon. It is turning America into a fortress of paranoia, xenophobia, racist persecution — a surveillance/imprisonment state, with a population divided against itself, immersed in fear, constantly in turmoil and all too often angry and consumed by distrust and suspicion.
We are fed a constant stream of promises that things will get better, told that our elected officials are on our side, that if there’s a problem, it’s either the Russians or it’s China, or it’s the Russians AND China working together to make a mess of things.
What’s the truth? The truth is that, with the exception of a handful of renegades who got elected in 2022 — and too many of them turned out to be wolves in sheep’s clothing — we have PRACTICALLY NO ONE IN WASHINGTON DC WORKING FOR EVERYDAY CITIZENS. They’re all there to serve their deep-pocketed campaign donors, Wall Street, the too-big-to-fail too-powerful-to-jail investment banks, the military-industrial-security-complex, transnational corporations, the .1% — aka the incomprehensibly wealthy.
Which means . . .
Those now in Congress do not work for you and I, the everyday citizens. They work for powerful interests, transnational corporations, the ruling elite. They are deceiving us. They are swindling us. All to please their real “bosses”, their deep-pocketed patrons.
We have to get rid of the crooks and liars by sending them packing November 2024!
But to do this, we have to keep our focus . . .
The problem is not Russia, China, immigrants, pronouns, welfare queens, drag queens, white supremacists, truthers, conspiracists, insurrectionists, fake news, talking heads or singing telegrams.
THE PROBLEM IS ALMOST EVERYONE WHO NOW HOLDS PUBLIC OFFICE in our nation’s capital! The phony “public servants” who forget the people back home who elected them and exclusively serve the ruling elite — the .1%!
So don’t be fooled! Don’t get distracted!
We need to push for regime change in Congress . . . STARTING NOW!
- Because if a populist wins the White House in 2024, he or she will need a supportive Congress to push a populist “people’s” agenda.
- Because if a populist does not win the White House in 2024, we will still need a “people’s Congress” to stop the pillaging of our nation and the evisceration of democracy, and to create an America which works for all Americans, not just the rich and powerful.
- Because getting rid of the pay-for-play puppets of the ruling elite now in Congress, is the only way to keep alive the hope of real reform and of moving forward, whatever happens!
Time is running out, people!
WE HAVE TO GET ORGANIZED! BECAUSE IF WE DON’T ACT DECISIVELY, THE AMERICA WE EVERYDAY CITIZENS NOW LOVE WILL NO LONGER EXIST. THAT MEANS ANY HOPE OF REPAIRING THE DAMAGE WILL BE GONE FOREVER. FOREVER!
We need A WHOLE NEW DIRECTION IN WASHINGTON DC. We need fresh blood, fresh ideas, fresh faces who haven’t been corrupted by the “system”.
Elect a new Congress in November 2024!
